How DAIS Can Help

Domestic Abuse Intervention Services provides information and services to help you understand your options and decide what is right for you.

24-hour Help/Crisis Line (608-251-4445).
Staffed by trained volunteers and staff, the DAIS Crisis Line provides callers with support, information, referrals to other community agencies, and safety planning.

Safe House.
The DAIS Safe House provides short-term emergency shelter for domestic violence victims and their children; safe house services include information and support, case management, referrals to community agencies, and resources for children. Legal Advocacy.
The DAIS Legal Program helps domestic violence survivors understand the court system, file for restraining orders, navigate legal procedures, and obtain legal representation.

Children’s Programming.
The DAIS Children’s Program helps children from violent homes process their feelings and experiences through age-appropriate play and creative activities.

Crisis Response.
Crisis Response Advocate meet with domestic violence survivors in safe, confidential locations across Dane County, to provide face-to-face emergency safety planning, basic restraining order assistance, housing information, parenting support, and referrals to other community resources.

Community Support Groups.
Our weekly Support Group helps members of the community decrease their isolation, increase their safety, and connect with other DAIS services and community resources.

Emergency Pet Foster Care.
The SAAV Program offers foster care for pets of domestic violence survivors while they are seeking safety.
