Keynote Speaker: Teri Jendusa Nicolai
Teri Jendusa Nicolai

Teri Jendusa Nicolai was thrust into the national spotlight in February 2004 after her ex-husband abducted her, beat her with a baseball bat, and left her for dead in a storage locker in Illinois. Teri survived to tell her story and now travels across the country sharing her harrowing experience to educate others about the terror that domestic violence victims and their children live with every day in the hopes that she can save someone else from a similar tragedy. Teri has been featured on 20/20 and in newspapers across the country who shared the horrific story of the domestic abuse she endured and her attempted murder. The staff and Board of Domestic Abuse Intervention Services are honored to bring this amazing survivor to Madison to share her story of survival, courage, and freedom.

Please contact Sponsorship Chair, JoAnn Gruber-Hagen (608) 712-7788 or DAIS Executive Director, Shannon Barry (608)251-1237 ext. 307 with questions or for more information about how you can help.

Cell Phone Collection Continues at Ancora

DAIS continues to collect used cell phones which are recycled or disposed of in an environmentally sound way. DAIS partners with shelteralliance.org and receives a return on every phone turned in. Last year over $6,000 was earned through the cell phone drive. Drop off your unused phone at the Ancora locations on King Street, Monroe Street or University Avenue.

Children's Book Proceeds Benefit DAIS

A long time donor to DAIS, Ron Phelps has written a children's book called Oakley, Stealth Dog. The story of Oaklee, a beagle puppy, will charm any child and help a good cause. To order click here:
