About DAIS

Domestic Abuse Intervention Services, located in Madison, Wisconsin, offers a 24-hour crisis line, a 25-bed safe house for women and their children, legal advocacy, support groups, information and referrals. DAIS is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Starting on January 9, 2008, Domestic Abuse Intervention Services will offer a drop-in community support group for women dealing with the effects of emotional, physical, and verbal abuse by a partner or ex-partner. These are open groups; participants may attend any or all of the group sessions. Topics may include dynamics of abuse, safety planning, self-esteem, physical and emotional health, effects of domestic violence on children, and community resources. Children's groups are offered during adult support groups and transportation may be available. Call our 24-hour crisis line at 608-251-4445 for more information and for locations.
